LōD is the energy intelligence platform for high-consumption data centers. We did not build software and add energy features. We started in energy operations and built a platform around what operators actually need — reliable data, a clear strategy, and automation that responds to real grid conditions.
It started with a question no one had a good answer to.
In 2013, a small group of engineers started exploring high-density compute infrastructure during a period when running machines at scale meant figuring out everything yourself — hardware, networking, and energy. Nothing was packaged. Nothing was handed to you.
Over the next several years, the team built custom setups, learned from failure, and developed a hands-on understanding of what it actually takes to run energy-intensive infrastructure efficiently. That background was not a detour. It was the foundation.
In 2021, they launched Lincoin, a mining pool built for operators who cared about reliability and transparency. The community that formed around it, operators sharing problems, pushing for features, testing solutions in production, became the early signal that something bigger was possible.
That same year, as energy markets grew volatile and infrastructure costs spiked, the team started asking a different kind of question. Not "how do we run machines better?" but "how does infrastructure integrate more intelligently with the grid?"
In 2022, those questions became LōD, an energy intelligence platform designed around one belief: that operators make better decisions when they have better data. Not dashboards. Not alerts. Actual, interpreted, trusted grid intelligence.
Cholla Energy was among the first to implement the beta. Their feedback shaped the platform. By 2024, Bitfarms had joined, and LōD was operating across 100+ sites. The growth was not driven by marketing. It was driven by operators telling other operators.
That is still how LōD grows today. Through trust, results, and a reputation for giving operators data they can actually rely on.
How we got here.
The Spark
A small group of engineers begins exploring digital infrastructure and energy, driven by curiosity and the challenge of building smarter systems around emerging compute networks.
Experimentation & Learning
Through trial, error, and persistence, the team builds custom hardware setups and develops a deep, firsthand understanding of the relationship between high-density compute and energy.
Lincoin & Community
Lincoin, a mining pool, goes live. Built on community feedback and rapid iteration, it becomes a trusted hub for operators. The community becomes the foundation for everything LōD would later build.
A Deeper Question
As energy markets grew more volatile, the team stopped asking "how do we mine better?" and started asking "how does infrastructure integrate more intelligently with the grid?" That question became LōD.
Beta Rollout
Cholla Energy becomes one of the first adopters, fully implementing the beta platform. Their trust and feedback accelerate development and validate the core thesis.
Scaling Trust
LōD expands to 100+ sites. Bitfarms joins as a major customer. The platform adds workload management capabilities and begins serving AI data centers alongside Bitcoin miners.

Most platforms in this space were built for something else first. LōD was built from the ground up around one problem: giving operators data they cannot get anywhere else, in a form they can actually use.
The grid signals we interpret, real-time pricing, curtailment events, demand response windows, coincidental peak detection, are not aggregated from public feeds and repackaged. They are processed, validated, and contextualized for the way high-consumption data centers actually operate.
