Agent Installation on Windows — Overview

This video provides a step-by-step walkthrough for installing the LōD Agent on a Windows device. The agent allows your system to communicate with the LōD platform and begin managing ASICs from the IoT page.

Minimum System Requirements

Before installing, make sure your system meets these minimum requirements:

  • 16 GB of RAM
  • Quad-Core Intel i5 processor or greater
  • 40 GB of available hard drive space

Key Steps Covered in the Video

Create a New Agent in LōD

Go to the IoT → ASICs page, open the Agent section, click the "+" icon, and select Add Agent. Name your agent and click Create New — it will initially appear offline.

Download and Prepare the Agent File

Click Download App, select your operating system (Windows), and open the downloaded file. In your Local Disk (C:), create a new folder named Agent. Extract the downloaded files into this new folder.

Run the Installer

Launch the installer and allow it to make system changes. The first message will display "Key not found", which is expected before linking the agent key.

Add the Agent Key

Go back to LōD, locate your newly created agent, and copy the Agent Key. Inside the Agent folder, create a new text document named key, paste the copied key inside, and save the file.

Start the LōD Agent

Run the Lincoin Agent executable. If Windows Defender flags it, click Run Anyway and allow changes. Once launched, the installer will confirm "Key Found".

Verify Connection

Return to the LōD platform and click Refresh — your agent should now appear online.
